Support High-Quality Charter School Authorizing Across Colorado

CACSA is seeking qualified external consultants to support project-based work with school districts, charter school authorizers, and statewide partners across Colorado. Through this Request for Information, CACSA is building a pool of experienced practitioners who can provide technical assistance, governance and board training, charter application and renewal support, oversight systems development, policy and process guidance, facilitation, research, strategic planning, and other services aligned with high-quality authorizing practices and the Colorado Principles & Standards.

About the Opportunity

The Colorado Association of Charter School Authorizers supports charter school authorizers through training, tools, and technical assistance. As CACSA’s work continues to expand, we are identifying consultants with expertise in charter school authorizing, governance, accountability, finance, operations, and related areas.

Consultants may be engaged on a project-by-project basis depending on CACSA’s needs, district requests, and alignment of expertise.

Areas of Consultant Support

Authorizing & Accountability

Consultants may support charter application reviews, evaluation rubrics, applicant interviews, renewal evaluations, performance analysis, and closure planning.

Policy & Governance

Consultants may assist with authorizing policies and procedures, charter contracts, performance frameworks, compliance alignment, and district policy waiver frameworks.

Technical Assistance & Training

Consultants may facilitate trainings, develop guidance documents and tools, advise districts on authorizing practices, or provide longer-term charter liaison support.

Research & Tool Development

Consultants may contribute to authorizer resources, data analysis, publications, guidance materials, and statewide tools.

Through this Request for Information (RFI), CACSA is identifying individuals with expertise in charter school authorizing, technical assistance, training, accountability, governance, and related fields.

The initial submission deadline is June 1, 2026; however, CACSA will continue to establish and maintain the consultant pool on a rolling basis, with opportunities promoted bi-annually.
