This CACSA Update has information on:
- Our new team member, Lisa Jarvi (formerly Lisa Nolan);
- Temporary website is live;
- Soliciting materials for online archive of authorizer materials; and
- 2nd summer action planning work meeting, Aug. 21.
We are excited to announce that Lisa Jarvi (formerly Lisa Nolan) has joined the CACSA team. Lisa has extensive experience in positions throughout the charter sector. Many of you will know her from her time with the Colorado League of Charter Schools. Lisa will be helping on many aspects of CACSA’s work and I am excited to begin this next phase of CACSA’s work. The CACSA website is now live. You can view it at “coauthorizers.org”. Please check it out and let us know what you think. This is a temporary site to give CACSA a web-presence while we work with a web developer on a permanent site that should be live this fall.
We are gathering materials to post in an on-line archive and are now soliciting copies of authorizer materials that CACSA members would like to share. As we develop the permanent website, one of the primary tools will be an on-line archive of authorizer materials. Please send Lisa any materials that you believe would be of interest to CACSA member. We would like to include materials that cover all aspects of an authorizers’ work, including:
- district policies and handbooks;
- application packages;
- materials related to the review of applications;
- contracts;
- performance management tools; and,
- renewal materials.
- The second meeting to discuss CACSA’s action plans is scheduled for Wednesday, August 21, 2019, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We will be discussing plans to create model materials and learning opportunities at the first half of the meeting, and we will switch to our analysis of needs related to special education for the second half of the meeting.
