2021 NACSA Supplemental Renewal Guidance is supplemental, intended to complement existing
systems and policies. It is not a set of mandates or evaluation criteria to be imposed on schools. Rather,
this guidance can help both schools and authorizers consider — together in dialogue — how to capture
the extraordinary work that schools undertook to support their students, families, and community.
Authorizers and schools should take all or parts of this guidance as they consider their local contexts
and work on behalf of students.
